On the home page of the Transcribe App (starting with version 1.77.0) you can see the status of the Zoom Meeting Assistant. Below is the description of the various status values.


Zoom Meeting Assistant not installed

The icon is grayed out and has white dot-circle. If you wish you can install Zoom Meeting Assistant from Apps page (4-squares icon on the left side).

You will see this icon also if the Zoom Meeting Assistant has been installed but has never successfully connected to the Transcribe App.


Zoom Meeting Assistant installed but not connected

This icon with the white dot-circle indicates that the Zoom Meeting Assistant has been installed and it has run at least once  and successfully connected to the Transcribe App. However, at the given time it is not connected to the Transcribe App.


Zoom Meeting Assistant connected to the Transcribe App

This icon with the green dot-circle indicates that the Zoom Meeting Assistant is currently connected to the Transcribe App. It means it can submit Zoom meeting audio for transcription.


Zoom Meeting Assistant in meeting

This icon with the blue dot-circle indicates that the Zoom Meeting Assistant has joined a meeting and is collecting participant activity.


Meeting is being recorded

This icon with the red dot-circle indicates that the Zoom Meeting Assistant has either:

  • noticed that the meeting is recorded locally on this computer by the host/participant via the Zoom Client
  • host has given Zoom Meeting Assistant permission to record locally

This icon may be shown with a delay and it takes some seconds for the Zoom Meeting Assistant to notice that the recording has started/stopped.

Also Zoom Meeting Assistant may not notice that the meeting recording stopped until the meeting ends.
