On transcripts where diarization was used or which come from Zoom Meetings you will see Speakers in he Transcript details. Generally, on a fresh transcription there will be 3 types of Speakers:

  1. Speakers from Diarization - these will be named Speaker1, Speaker2, etc
  2. Speakers from Zoom Meeting - these will have names of the zoom meeting participants, e.g. JohnSmith, Jane Doe, SuzanK, Mary J, etc.
  3. Speakers identified using Voice Signature, these will be the Voice Signature icon after the name, and if they are a User on the Account, they will also have an Avatar instead of the generic speaker icon

Here is an example view of a transcript that was diarized into two speakers - Speaker1 and Speaker2

When you click on the speaker name you will see a pop-up

Here we entered the name of one of the speakers Michelle, and there were no know Speakers with that name found, so we click on "Create New Speaker"

Here we can listen to the suggested audio clip for the voice signature, and if we are happy with it we click Save. We see the name of the speaker modified to Michelle.

We can go to the Profile -> Speakers where we will find a new Speaker Michelle with a new Voice Signature

We do the same for the other speaker Harris.

In order to use these Voice Signatures in transcription, we need to set them on the Project as shown below (do not forget to click Save after making any changes).

When we run a new transcription, the speakers will be automatically identified. You can tell tell that voice signatures were used by the small voice signature icon next to the Speaker names.
