This feature currently in in Beta.

With this feature, Users can transcribe a web meeting by sharing the audio from a specific browser tab (which has the meeting audio) with Voicegain Transcribe. If User is using a Windows device (i.e a laptop or desktop with Windows OS), they can also share the audio from a client app - like Zoom for Windows or Microsoft Teams for Windows. This feature is not available on Apple Macbooks or other Apple devices as Mac OSX does not support audio sharing.

Also currently Voicegain supports only the Chrome and Edge Browsers for audio sharing.

Here are the steps to take Voicegain Transcribe with you to your Web meeting.

1. Click on the "Transcribe Web Meeting Live" icon on the left hand side menu. Please see the image below to confirm you are making the right selection.

2. On clicking that icon, you should be presented with a modal window like the one shown in the image below with 3 specific input steps.

3. Click on the + inside the "Select your Microphone" section. And then select the appropriate microphone from the dropdown. You should see a green check mark once you select the microphone as show in the image eb

4.  Click on "+" inside the Share Browser or App Audio section. You will be presented a dropdown with Setup Capture button - the dropdown should look like the image below. Click on the Setup Capture Button.

5. When you click on the "Setup Capture" button, Users will be presented with to modal window again which

would be similar to the screenshot shown below. If you are looking to transcribe from the browser, click on the Chrome Tab as shown in the red oval below. On a Windows Device with a Zoom App or Teams App, you can either click on Entire Screen (Not Recommended) or on the "Window" (mid selection). This maybe appropriate if you have client installs of Zoom or Microsoft Teams on Windows. Unfortunately Mac only allows sharing from the Chrome Tab and does not allow sharing of audio from a client app like Zoom. So on a Mac device, you will always click on the Chrome Tab.

6. When you click on the Chrome Tab, you will be presented with a list of all browser tabs that are active. In the image below, it shows the user is in the process of selecting with a Google Meet - this is from a list of apps that can be selected. It is crucial that you also select "Share tab audio" otherwise the app will not be able to capture the audio from the tab.

7. Once that is done, you should see a green checkmark appear beside the second "Share Browser or App Audio.

8. Next you select the (expected) number of speakers in the meeting. In the example below we selected a range of 2 to 4 speakers because the meeting would have 4 participants but we did not know if all of them would speak.

9. After we click Start, the capture of the meeting audio starts.
